What is a B Corp™?

Certified B Corporations™ (or B Corps™) are companies verified by the non-profit B Lab™ for meeting integrated standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. To achieve certification, companies must:

Complete the B Impact Assessment, which evaluates performance across Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.
Provide evidence that policies and practices meet B Lab’s standards.
Commit to legal accountability that ensures decisions consider all stakeholders, not only shareholders.
Recertify every three years, demonstrating continuous improvement.

Based on the B Impact Assessment, DLRC achieved an overall score of 93.4, exceeding the 80 points required for certification and well above the median score of 50.9 for businesses completing the assessment.

Our score reflects strong performance across all five impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

What we learned through the process

The B Impact Assessment is detailed and evidence-based. Working through it provided valuable insights into where we excel and where we can strengthen our impact further.

The process reinforced the importance of coordinated data collection and consistent documentation across teams, applying the same rigour we bring to regulatory work across all areas of the business. It also highlighted opportunities to formalise practices that had previously been applied informally, and to strengthen areas such as supplier due diligence, environmental baselining and feedback mechanisms.
