As a regulatory consultancy offering services from offices based in the US, UK, and Germany, DLRC enjoys celebrating so many holidays and traditions that come with our global presence. At this time of year our US office is excited to celebrate Thanksgiving! This national holiday has evolved to focus on expressing gratitude, being around loved ones, enjoying a shared meal, and taking time to appreciate all that we are thankful for.
The blend of cultures within our organisation reminds us how valuable it is to work in a multicultural organisation, particularly in an industry as global as the pharmaceutical industry. As many of our US colleagues prepare to gather with family and share traditional meals, we’re taking this opportunity to pause and consider what we’re grateful for.
Colleagues from all three DLRC offices have shared some of their thoughts this Thanksgiving. Rose, based in the US, Anne, based at the EU office, and Amy, based in the UK, have taken this opportunity to reflect on personal milestones and professional journeys at DLRC.
“As we approach December, I reflect on all that I have to be thankful for this year. One year ago, I was uncertain about my future after years of hard work completing my doctorate. But DLRC Inc. allowed me to prove myself and ignite my career—something I’ll always be grateful for.
On top of that, this year has blessed me with many wonderful personal milestones: I’m now an aunt, a soon-to-be wife, and a soon-to-be homeowner. A lot has changed, in the best way possible. I’m filled with gratitude for all that has come my way.”
“I am thankful for the opportunity to contribute to the greater good of our society by working an interesting and challenging job at the DLRC Group. I’m also thankful for all my amazing, fascinating, and motivated colleagues as well as our respectful and diverse work environment. For my lovely family and friends and all the support I am receiving in my life. For my good health, which is due in part to the efforts of many visionaries and committed people like the ones, I am allowed to work with daily.”
“I am thankful for my friends, family and pets who can always put a smile on my face! I am also thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given in my life, including being supported during a career change, moving from being a senior ecologist at an ecology consultancy business, to becoming a People Business Partner at DLRC. This shift has made a world of difference, allowing me to look forward to work instead of feeling unhappy!”
Maggie, based in the US, and Michelle, in the UK, have taken this opportunity to reflect on their recent work in disease areas of unmet therapeutic need. It’s certainly gratifying to see DLRC’s mission statement being brought to life and to recognise the team’s hard work.
“This year, above all, I’m thankful for the love of my family, who bring joy and balance to my life every day. As a regulatory affairs professional, I’m very grateful for my incredible coworkers at DLRC, whose dedication and teamwork inspire me to do my best. Lastly, I’m profoundly moved by recent breakthroughs in drug development. We know they hold the potential to transform the lives of patients who rely on all of us in this space for hope and healing, and I know everyone at DLRC is so grateful for the opportunity to play a role in these advancements.”
“I’m thankful for all the work that we’ve done this for our SME clients who are working in rare disorders. The work that these clients put into their products is really working towards future treatments in areas of high unmet need and making a difference to people’s lives.
I’m also very thankful to my team and everyone that I work with at DLRC. I’m very lucky to work with such great people and overcoming challenges together as well as celebrating wins.
Personally, I’ve loved connecting with those working at DLRC who have a mutual love of house plants. It’s great that so many of us share the same hobby and can come together to share tips!”
Finally, Claire, Chief Business Officer shares some lovely thoughts about DLRC and our relationship with our partners.
Claire Meadowcroft, Chief Business Officer
“Reflecting on a year of meaningful connections and collaborative growth. The DLRC team has learned, adapted, and built relationships that, as always, go way beyond transactions.
Thankful for those who inspire us, the partnerships that open new doors, and the shared vision of creating genuine value. And to my wonderful husband, as we approach our first wedding anniversary!
Happy Thanksgiving all!”
While Thanksgiving is mainly celebrated in the US, it’s clear from these thoughts shared by our team that the sentiment of the holiday is shared across continents. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, DLRC would like to express thanks to our wonderful network of colleagues and clients who are a pleasure to work with.
