DLRC, an award-winning global regulatory affairs consultancy supporting the development and licensing of pharmaceutical, biotech, advanced therapy and medtech products worldwide, has published its 2024 Sustainable Impact Report. This report highlights the significant strides the company has made in environmental sustainability, community engagement, and corporate governance. The report shows that DLRC has raised £32,200 for charity while establishing a commitment to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050.
In her opening remarks, CEO Dianne Lee reflects on a year of transformation: “We continue to implement new initiatives and collaborate with external consultants to address our most significant sustainability impacts.”
As a company that maintains regulatory compliance while choosing to be transparent, DLRC publishes sustainability metrics to demonstrate how responsible business practices drive positive impact and exceptional client results.
DLRC re-benchmarked its carbon footprint using enhanced data collection methods, achieving 1.63 tCO2e per full-time employee. The company developed a detailed plan to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050, working with external consultants to address scope 3 emissions. DLRC also secured landlord commitments for significant building improvements. These include gas boiler removal and energy efficiency upgrades by 2030, directly supporting emission reduction targets.
DLRC team members raised £32,200 across eight charitable organisations. Key contributions included £626 for MIND, £480 for Age UK, and £466.25 for Macmillan Cancer Support. DLRC expanded its outreach through partnerships with Mission 44 and Herts County Council, delivering employability workshops and STEM career events. The company expanded STEM education support through work experience for 7 students.
Governance milestones achieved:
With nearly 75% of its workforce identifying as female and 25% from ethnic minority backgrounds, DLRC continues to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion. DLRC introduced new policies on wellbeing, menstrual health, menopause, and domestic abuse, and retained its Investors in People Silver Award. The organisation promoted 15 team members during 2024 while supporting 9 UK apprentices, representing approximately 10% of the workforce.
Despite ESG investments, DLRC maintained exceptional client satisfaction with 10/10 ratings for recommendation likelihood and communication effectiveness. This proves sustainability initiatives enhance rather than compromise business performance.
